Organizing Committee

Barbara Amaral

University of São Paulo

Professor of Physics at the University of São Paulo, with research focusing on foundations of quantum theory, specially nonlocality and contextuality. Barbara attended Quantum Paraty as a student in the editions of 2007, 2009 and 2011, as a researcher in the edition of 2015 and as part of the organizing committee in 2017.

Daniel Tasca

Fluminense Federal University

Professor of Physics at the Fluminense Federal University in Niterói. Develops experimental research in the field of optics in the classical and quantum regimes. Daniel attended Quantum Paraty as a student in the edition of 2007 and 2009 and as a researcher in the edition of 2015.

Marcelo Terra Cunha

Campinas University

Full professor in Mathematical Physics at Unicamp, with research interests that run from entanglement characterization and applications, besides other forms of correlation, to foundations of quantum physics, including nonlocality and contextuality. Marcelo is a founding member of EnLight (Entanglement and Quantum Properties of Light) and MathFoundQ (Mathematical Foundations of Quantum Theory) research groups, as well as the research network SPIN off QuBIT (São Paulo Integration and Nucleation of future Quantum Based Information Technology). He has been an Affiliated Member of Brazilian Academy of Science, and an Associate Member of International Centre for Theoretical Physics. Marcelo is one of the creators of Quantum Paraty, being part of the organizing committee in the editions of 2007, 2009 and 2011, being one of the school lectures in 2017 and attending as a researcher in the editions of 2013 and 2015.
